At the end of April, the Heart of Illinois Low Incidence Association (HILIA) hosted a Low Vision Clinic at the TCSEA Office in Bloomington. The clinic is part of the Seeing Is Believing Program from Spectrios Institute in Wheaton, which is designed to help K-12 children with low vision in Illinois. The clinic provides free exams and devices, fully funded by grants and donations from the Lions Club, White Sox Charities, Perritt Foundation, and individual donors. Twelve students attended the clinic and received thorough exams under the care of Dr. Tracy Williams. The clinic is typically held in the fall and spring and lasts two days.
