Tomorrow night is our final celebration of the school year with the Fine Arts Festival. We hope that you can come out and enjoy some wonderful sights and sounds from all grade levels of our students. In addition to the music and artwork, we will be offering folks a chance to get a sneak peak inside our new gym as it nears the final weeks of completion. If you have not attended our fine arts festival in the past, this evening is more informal that our concerts and allows for attendees to come and go from gym to gym, performance to performance as they please. Congratulations to the 2025 Illinois Principals Association student recognition winners! Each year our district recognizes two seniors, two eighth graders, and two fifth graders who demonstrate excellence and/or growth in the classroom and are involved in their school community in a number of ways. The students and their families attend a breakfast ceremony held at ISU. These six Minutemen were among 64 students recognized from central Illinois. Way to go!
If you are out and about in Lexington this morning, you will likely see our high school students and staff giving back to our school and community as we celebrate our annual day of service. This year marks the tenth year anniversary of incorporating this special day into our school calendar.
Earlier this morning, a proclamation was read "proclaiming that our annual day of service shall be name Ivy Trimmer Service Day in recognition of her enduring impact and dedication to our school and community."
This day embodies the heart and soul of thriving communities and strong schools are built on. Wherever our graduates go and whatever they do, we hope that they get involved in their communities, give back, and work to bring people together.

April Lunch Menus
Our elementary coin collection for the United Way of McLean County raised $1052.76 last week! Our students filled the "pot of gold" each day to earn extra outdoor play time this week totaling 25 minutes. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step"
While it may not be a 1,000 miles, we are nearing 1,000 days since we started the process of creating the plans for our STEAM and GYM additions and interior renovations of our JH Science, K-12 Music, Fitness Center, and locker rooms. I am happy to report that the end is getting near!
As many of you know, we have been enjoying the completed interior renovations for a good portion of this school year and they have been such a huge blessing for the students and staff who have been using them.
The STEAM addition is in its final completion and we are hoping and planning to open the doors and to allow our K-12 Art and our Ag/Industrial Arts students to begin instruction soon after spring break. We thank the hundreds of folks who turned out for a tour of these spaces during our FFA Auction a few weeks back. For those who were not able to attend, a few pictures are included.
Lastly, our GYM addition is ready for the final push and will begin installation of the floors and then the bleachers. While we don't believe we will be able to utilize the GYM for this school year, it will be shiny, new, and ready to go for 25-26. We are planning to give tours of the GYM and the new music renovation to coincide with our Fine Arts Festival on May 8th, so mark your calendars now!

Lexington CUSD #7 wants to announce that Mr. David Moore has joined our Minutemen family! Many of you might know Mr. Moore from our community and likely recognize his work as he has beautified the grounds at the Castle for the past 30 years. Mr. Moore will be working on our Custodial and Maintenance team and will be doing his best to help keep our campus safe and clean. Welcome and Congratulations Mr. Moore!
