Welcome to Pre-K!
Lexington Elementary Pre-K is a state funded program. To be considered for this program students must be 3,4 or 5 years of age and be considered eligible for the program. To be eligible, children must be screened at our district wide screening or by arranging an appointment with Mrs. VanVleet. At the screening parents have an exit conference where developmental skills and history are shared. At this conference parents are asked if they are interested in this program. If there is interest, the student is put in a pool of other prospective students to be considered. Each student has a score of needs based on the screening, conference and developmental history. Students who are considered have a high score of needs. Due to the large interest in the program there is a waiting list for placement. For more information please call the school at 309-365-2741.
