Lexington High School

Lexington High School is a small school with a long, proud tradition of academic and athletic excellence.

Our staff is experienced, with several having over 20 years in the district. They are also dedicated to providing outstanding opportunities to each student who wishes to succeed.

Most years we enroll between 40 and 50 students per grade level freshmen through seniors. Class sizes are generally small with an abundance of individual attention available. Even though small, we provide an abundance of educational opportunities, including Advanced Placement Calculus and on campus Heartland Community College Courses for college prep students. Vocational students can take additional courses through our co-op with the Bloomington Area Vocational Center.

Our extra-curricular teams have filled several trophy cases with awards and provided countless people with great memories. Our programs include girls' sports: volleyball, golf, swimming (co-op with Pontiac), basketball, track and softball. For boys we offer golf, football, basketball, track and baseball. Co-ed we offer cheerleading. We also have very successful academic teams with our Math Team and Scholastic Bowl Team. Clubs include FFA, FCCLA, Key Club, Student Council, and NHS. The fine arts provide performances in concert and marching bands, chorus, plays and musicals, and art exhibits.
